Chain Kit Featured Reviews
There are a few options to hang these chains like the EMT Chain Mount or we have the popular T-Post Hook.
You can use our target chain mounting kit with any target that has a 1/2" mounting hole, like our Ultra Mega Gongs or our 2 Eared Targets.

The chain kit seems to made from strong steel. Install was easy. Will purchase again.
Both the hooks and chains work well, but they are not rated for green tips at 100 yards. Great product!
I ordered the chain target mounting kit to mount a target that was given to me as a gift. The hardware fit perfectly and instructions were easy to follow. I paired the mounting kit with ST7 T post hooks, which made range set up a breeze. I used tie wire to connect the chains to the T post hooks. This set up makes desert shooting more intuitive and provides much more feedback than a paper target in an open and often windy environment.
They work to hang up the targets. Get a little beat up, but still doing the job
Love these AR500 steel targets on a new shooting range set up at our property in Indiana. Have now fired a few hundred rounds at these at the proper distances and barely a scratch on them. Looking forward to many years of happy target shooting. Keep up the great work on your quality products!
I recently bought the 1", 2", 3", 4", 6", and 8" plates for my gun club. I originally also purchased the rubber hanging straps. The straps did not hold the plates for more than a few shots, and the 1" plate soon launched over the berm never to be seen again. The 2" and 3" also detached, but were recovered. I contacted support and they sent me a new 1" plate as well as their new style hanger (metal). We've since removed all the rubber straps and replaced them with chains. The targets are a big hit with club members and look indestructible. I've not yet tried the new style hanger (I hope to get it installed soon), but it looks like it'll be very sturdy. If it survives our trial, I can see replacing the chains with this style of hanger. All in all, the steel is great quality, great price, and I could not have asked for better customer support than I got.
Got my pistol range set up and these chain hangers work out great!
Excellent targets for 9mm and 45acp 1/4 plates. Recommend 👍
Chain kit works well for pistol. Recommend 👍
Torso with bullseye is awesome for practicing drills and mag dumps. Freedom baby!
I haven't shot at these yet. My father has several that we use. They hold up well and have lasted. I will continue to purchase from them.
So I ordered this not realizing I have the smaller silhouettes, but it still worked great. It stuck to the target better than I expected. It was easy to mark the targets with Rust-oleum florescent marking paint. This is a great improvement over just spraying random dots. I'm very happy.
Works awesome as a backstop for my paper targets. I use this one for my 357 cal airgun. Their KYL targets are also top notch. I have 2 and the wife and I have competitions. Absolutely love everything I've bought.
Item arrived in great shape and has exceeded my expectations. Hanging chains are thick and durable. The steel was smooth and well cut. It has taken everything I have thrown at it and laughed. I genuinely wonder why people don't buy all their steel from a great company like SS7. I cannot imagine better pricing, service or value being found elsewhere.
Picked up 4 of the AR500 plates sizes 4,6,8, and 10" gongs with hardware. Items were as advertised. Have enjoyed using them and highly recommend them. After a day shooting just repaint gongs and you're ready to go. Great price for these targets, and will be getting more of them. Thanks. John Bagwell
Well worth the extremely reasonable price for these little guys. Going up to the upper peninsula next weekend and these little guys are gonna be put through some pretty heavy testing. Haha. Ill be back for more stuff if these hold up, and I have no doubts that they'll do just fine.
These targets are great! No more paper, just a little spray paint when you deem necessary. At 10 yards with what we shoot (9 mm) these things will last forever, not one pit! Next purchase will be 2 to 10 inch rounds, no paper, no paint.
So much easer then posting targets
The whole family enjoys ringing the gong! Great quality targets!
These changes are great!
Great target! Super fast delivery. A1 VENDOR. Professional and will get back to you very quickly with any questions you may have. Have purchased several targets and chain kits.
Super easy and affordable install!
This hardware was top quality Doing business with you guys was easy and quick. I'll be back E
I bought 2 gong targets and mounted them in old tires. This is for my home range. Quality of the gongs and the hardware was excellent. Love being able to adjust height and deflection angle, especially for targets at 7 yrds. Ordering, shipping time and prices were outstanding. I will definitely be ordering more sizes for different distances. Thank you for a great product. E.
Hardware from Home Depot was completely destroyed, but the plate took 50 rounds of 223 at 50 yards like a champ. I’d buy straps and from here in the first place if I did it again. Their prices on amazon are cheaper in some cases.
Definitely a must when you buy the target. I use ground marking paints.
Great target!
The picture shows the AR400 3/16" plates with the 1", 2", 3", 4", and 8" plates all hanging from the kit that ShootingTargets7 sells. I just put them on two T posts and all is well. The only negative I can think of is that when you use two chains on single hold plates, it cants the plate a few degrees to the side. It is because you have two chains opposite each other but one is further back on the bolt and therefore is pulling it in that direction. They will not hang even. Great plates though. Heavy duty and plenty for my .22LR at 50 yards. I sprayed them with white paint and it makes it easier to see impact. I will order more in the future, but might try the straps instead of chains to keep the plates from twisting. Overall, pleased with the product and pleased with ShootingTargets7.
the two gongs are the 25 yard revolver targets. they were easy to mount using the mounting kits and the legs are the most clever design possible. I would recommend these to anyone
So I bought 4 of the round 46100 gongs because they were on sale and they perform just fine. I really cannot tell a difference between these and all of the other AR500 targets that I have purchased from ST7, but then I don't push'em either. I did learn not to use hardened chain because it shatters when hit and cracks just from hitting the gong
Great mounting kit for steel targets.
Great targets! Shoot them a few dozen times cake on some paint and they are good to go again. The 12" really rings with .22lr and 17hmr! 10/10 would recommend
Their 8” gong’s are super solid and ring loud! Any gong you get is solid from ST7.com so definitely go get some of these!
Sweet gong for accuracy! Also doubles as a badass beer coaster
Ping ping ping. What else is there to say! Good stuff.
Great value! Love these gongs! Have hit them hard with .45 full metal and not even a dent! Just spray paint afterwards and they look brand new! Will buy more as I add additional targets at distance....
Nice dealing with an American small business! Truly what America used to be and one that I still relish!!!! Anything I have purchased has been of high quality!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!
Works great. Took a direct shot from .223 and didn't completely bust.
Good to go
