Message From Mark
Hello, I'm Mark Leenheer, an Army combat veteran from the 10th Mountain Division and former Military Police Officer.
As a staunch Libertarian and proud American, my values reflect a love for capitalism, unwavering support for freedom, and limited government.
I'm old enough to remember a time when men took accountability for their actions, when deals were sealed with a handshake, and a man's word was his bond. If you miss those times as much as I do, you're in the right place.
At ShootingTargets7, we're more than a brand; we're a reflection of these enduring principles, dedicated to serving like-minded individuals who share our commitment to quality and freedom.
Military Expertise & Shooter's Insight
As a former military police veteran and armorer, my extensive experience in shooting and firearms forms the core of our product design philosophy.

Journey from Machinist to Master Target Designer
Following my military service, I contributed over 15 years to our family's automotive supplier business as a machinist and custom machine builder. This role demanded not only extensive practical experience but also specialized education.
MECI/SME-Recognized Roboticist Training
Enhancing my technical skillset, I completed a comprehensive roboticist training program with Rixan Automation LLC. This advanced training, acknowledged and recognized by the Manufacturing Engineering Certification Institute of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (MECI/SME), honed my expertise in robotics operation, programming, and maintenance.
Comprehensive Machine Building and Engineering
In my role as a machine builder, I was fully responsible for creating end to end solutions. This included engineering, CAD, machining, hydraulics, wiring, and controls. My extensive experience also includes working with tool steels and mastering steel hardening for creating precise punches, dies, molds, and tooling.
The Art of Automation
Building automated machines from scratch was a passion. Designing efficient, clockwork-like systems in manufacturing was not just challenging but immensely satisfying, mirroring the precision I bring to my current work.
Dedicated to Designing Superior Target Systems
Now, my focus is on designing superior target systems. I continuously apply Elon Musk's first principles approach to product design, ensuring every system I craft meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Design Philosophy: Engineering Excellence Meets User-Centric Design
My role as the designer of our products is underpinned by a deep-seated passion for engineering excellence and innovative design. Every product we offer is crafted with a meticulous attention to detail, born from years of engineering and design expertise.
This approach is not about boasting but about assurance - assurance that every item is engineered to perfection. By integrating customer feedback into the design process, I ensure our products not only embody top-tier engineering but also resonate with real-world needs, delivering exceptional value and reliability.

🎖️ Honoring Our Heroes: Action Trumps Intention
At ShootingTargets7, our dedication to supporting veterans isn't just a one-time event, but a continuous commitment. I consider it to be both a duty and an honor.
Initiatives like the Just One Program, which I embraced over 5 years ago alongside BattleBox, reflect our ongoing effort to support our veterans. Sorry about the audio quality folks.
This commitment to supporting those who put their lives on the line to defend our freedom will forever remain a core part of our mission.
