Yes, but you’ll need to shoot from a distance of 115–125 yards (assuming a 16" barrel and 55g ammo) to keep speeds below 2850 fps at the steel.


You may also shoot heavier (slower) ammo if you don't have that much room.


If you exceed 2850 fps, you risk damaging the target.


For closer shooting, consider selecting 3/8" targets. While all thicknesses will pit to come degree above 2850 fps, 3/8" targets will not pierce with your 5.56 / .223
