TOP QUESTIONS
What’s the minimum distance?
This is determined by your bullets speed
in FPS at the target.
This target is rated for 2850 fps.
AR15 with 16" barrel and 55g ammo is below
2850fps around 115-125 yds.
You'll get a bit more speed forgiveness with
the 10 deg angle of the targets.
Pitting is minimal or nonexistent at 2850fps
but will increase quickly at higher speeds.
I broke a paddle, can I get another?
Yes, all paddles will be available separately
and at a reasonable price.
Legs and top bar are from 3/4" EMT conduit
available at any Lowes, Home Depot etc.
We also carry these if you don't want
to be bothered with cutting them.
Should you break a paddle using it within our
guidelines we will replace it at no cost although
per our testing, this should not be possible.
Can I use other rifles besides my AR15?
Yes, if force <1750 fpe & speed <2850 fps.
55g bullet traveling at the max of 2850 fps is
992 fpe, well under the max rating of 1750 fpe.
6.5 creed with 120g bullet would need to be
400 yds out before dropping below 1750 fpe.
Listed FPE is conservative and will be updated
when we get more data from shooters.
Use the calculator below to determine FPE.
