I own 5 other Ar500 steel targets from Shooting Targets 7 but I think this gong is my new favorite. I mostly use 22lr (pistol) and wondered if the 3/8th center plate would swing enough. No problem! It clearly shows a direct center hit. it flips up completely on a good hit w plenty of 'day-light' showing in the hole.Quality Price Shipping

Takes a little longer to paint up but worth the little extra effort.
I know 3/8 is overkill for 22lr but I sometimes shoot larger ammo. Nice addition to the target rail.

I have purchased hundreds of dollars in targets and stands from Shooting Targets7 now and will continue to purchase more as I can afford them. These bullseye targets I have found most gratifying. Hitting the bullseye is both challenging and rewarding. No need for spotting scopes. The center plate of these targets are smaller and light than the surrounding plate. These are very good quality steel targets. The bullseye in the center adds a level of challenge to your shoot. Not just shooting a round steel target, now you are narrowing your sights so improved shooting skill starts to develop. Living in Kommiefornia for me it needs to be portable. Weight isn't too bad in 3/8".
After thousands of rounds of 9mm and 45acp almost zero damage.
For rifle, we've used this as short as 150yards and I believe that's when some tiny craters started showing up with either 5.56 or 7.62; not sure which.

No more paper targets. Do you know that feeling one gets after hearing that 'TING' sound. You don't get it with paper targets, only steel. Wow. We really had a ball the first time out with three bullseye targets hanging off a lead pipe stand I made. You definitely know when you hit the center. It makes shooting so much more fun. Metal is fun, but bullsyes are a total blast! What a great value too, since they come ready to go with chains all bolted up at the correct angle. We were using good splatter paper targets, but now will only be using them to sight in guns. No more walking back and forth to see and guess who hit what or change targets.
I already ordered more metal. This time I got a gong combo set 3" through 12" and added a 1" and 2" to complete this set. I made a second stand. This time a sweet galvanized lead pipe one with four foot length legs and top bar (perfect size for portable target). I love my metal targets!!! Thanks Shooting Targets 7 LLC. These are my first steel targets and I'm hooked. I have only about 500 rounds in it ranging from .22lr, 9mm, and 5.56x45. hold up very well. I did replace the chain with the rubber strap, a very nice upgrade. The bullseye is a great tool for days when it's just me going shooting.Quality Price Shipping

Bought one of these, two 10" gongs and the target stand for a company outing. Ten of us shooting pistols, .22 thru .45 and everything in between, over a thousand rounds. Not a mark on the plates. Spray on some more paint and they look unused. Shipped to CA in five days. I did feel sorry for the delivery guy, as the box had the plates, chains, hanging kits and replacement parts (didn't need to replace anything on this outing).
