I went for the 1/2 inch plates to assure I wont need to buy thicker. I dont think I'll ever get. 50bmg so these thick 1/2 inch plates will pretty much cover anything under that. Have shot 454 casull and pretty close range and no dents.... definelty buy it for life targets!

I ordered 2 of these in 3/8" and 1 in 1/2" My main use will be USPSA practice but I will be doing some Rifle work and while the 3/8" would probably be fine the 1/2" covers the "Bigger is Better" quota. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

These babies shrugged off 50 BMG XM33 with ease. We started at 300m and moved up to 200m and finally 100m. The end result was only the slightest dimples. The IPSC TORSO 1/2" ended the shooting session by calling us girls names and insulting our mothers.

First time buying or shooting steel. This target is the perfect size and weight. Get a good report even with 22lr and it heavy enough that it doesn�t bounce or swing out of control with 7.62. Just hit it with some spray paint-doesn�t even need to be dry, and fire away. You can see your hits spaltter mark with 22lr at 220 yards and hear it. Shooting steel has vastly improved my shooting as you get an instant report off the target allowing for faster shoots with instant feed back. The 6 and 8 inch gongs are great for precision work. Or you can just use the bullseye stencil on the bigger targets. Also has saved a lot of wear and tear on my backstop since the bullets explode when they hit the steel compared to punching paper and �skipping� them off a berm.

This was my third order from SHOOTING TARGETS 7. I have yet to find any problem with the targets. I have a mix of gong styles. After extensive shooting I think that the rubber straps are far and away better on any target under 8" in diameter. When hitting the smaller targets with heavy bullets if they are hung with chain they will wind around and need straightening out. Never happens with the rubber strap. The rubber straps I have used have been hit multiple times and show no weakness whatsoever. Highly recommend SHOOTING TARGETS 7 and their products.

Using this target for 9mm practice. It is holding up very well. I know the size was given but I expected it to be a little larger. Fun to hear the report back from a hit. I will be purchasing another one of these.

This thing is heavy. 6.5 Creedmoor makes it wiggle at 200yds. M1 Garand moves it a little more. Also have a combo pack and just love them. Workmanship - top notch. Shipping - fast!

Shooting Targets 7 is the best!!! The quality of the target is top notched. Very clean cuts, no slag left on it, just top notch. Not to take away from ST7 but I found a better way to hang targets. It's a little more expensive but it works. I have several other targets from ST7 and I wanted a good way to mount them without having to do repairs. I ordered hardware from boltdepot.com. The hardware is grade 8 bolts and nuts. Then I ordered a grade 70 transport chain from tulsachain.com. It has hooks on both ends and was 20ft long. I didn't use the hooks. I cut 2 pieces 2ft long each and hung them. With a 40 cal pistol at 15yds away i deliberately shot the hardware. There was NO damage! Then I shot the chain, there was NO damage. I haven't done the test with a rifle yet but I don't think there will be any damage if shot at the correct distance. Like I said, it's a little more expensive but it works! You will not be disappointed with Shooting Targets 7.

I ordered three 1/2'' IPSC Torso targets, the steel fence post brackets, and the mounting kits. I ordered them on a Tuesday night and they arrived via USPS the following Friday. The targets, brackets, and mounting kits are fantastic. I don't think you could get a better product at any price. I will not hesitate to buy more targets from these guys in the future. First things first, I am new to shooting at steel targets, so I was surfing the webs looking for a decent Ar-500 target. By doing so I came across many different companies selling a variety of targets. The issue I came across was I planned on shoot calibers from 22lr all the way up to 338 Lapua and I wanted a target to handle it all. I then came across shootingtargets7.com. Because I was shooting the large 338 Lapua round I picked the � thick silhouette. The price was the cheapest I could find online at the time and with free shipping what did I have to lose. The target was shipped with record speed from one side of the country to the other. I could not wait to open my target and try it out. The free target that was shipped with it was also a plus. After making a homemade mounting bracket and stand I finally got to send some rounds down range. I will say I started out small only shooting .380, 9 and 45acp which was a blast. The Ar-500 steel didn�t even have a mark on it. After shooting serval hundred rounds at from pistols at 20 yard my friends and I moved the target back to rifle range. Since the target did so well, I decided to bring out my 338 Lapua. What did I have to lose. If I punched a hole in it I would just weld it shut. At just 100yards I sent one round. I immediately walked down to check out the target. With much surprise there was no damage at all. I was very much impressed with the quality and soundness of the target I received from shootingtargets7.com. Several more rounds were sent with no noted damage. I definitely would recommend shootingtargets7.com for anyone looking to get a dependable and durable target.

This torso target is strong as steel, ok, just had to say that. This is a great target. I have shot at it from 100 to 300 yards and it repulsed my bullets perfectly, no marks. The shipping was great, the quality is great, and I love the little 4" steel target that was free. I wore gloves the first time I picked it up as the edges seemed sharp, did not need them, it's heavy so make sure you need 1/2" maybe a lesser diameter will work for your rifle and ammo. Company is great to work with.

I use this target mostly to prepare for USPSA competition matches. The dimensions do indeed reflect the A and C zones of the USPSA target. I have the 1/2 inch version and have not been able to dent it with the few hundred 9mm and .38 special rounds I've shot it with so far. It is a heavy and durable product and also withstands the few .223 rounds I've shot it with as well. I am very impressed with the product and highly recommend it. Shipping was incredibly fast; the target arrive before I could get the target stand built.... I give this product 5 stars.

These are great. Cannot wait to shoot 'em. Bought this and got the 4" round target for free. Got them under a Halloween special. They should hold up to everything I put to them. Also put some white primer on them and they look great.

Ordered two of these & the bulls-eye one, and took them to the range. Steel is fun. As others have mentioned 5.56/.223 will cause minor pitting at less than 100 yards. Also used their stands & extension legs, and ~2 feet of chain to hang them...worked great! This is the best deal I've found on steel targets.

Shot this target with 5.56 and 7.62. Slight dimpling in a few places with the 5.56 at 100 yds. (No green tip or other steel core ammo). 7.62 was shot at 200 and 400 yds with no dimpling at all. Overall a quality target that should last for 1000's of rounds.

The product is flawless. I have only shot this torso target with my .223 and .308 so far. Not a scratch on the metal surface. I will soon have a chance to see how it holds up to the .338. Shooting steel is fun.

This target worked great for me. I shot it with several different grains and types of 5.56x45 and had some very minor dimpling. I intend to shoot some 7.62x51 at it when I get some time to get to a longer distance range. Very pleased so far. I definitely recommend buying the mounting kits from these guys too. By the time I went to the hardware store and pieced my own together I paid two or three times what they charge.

Once again, here I am telling everyone just how great this product is from top to bottom. Price, quality and shipping is the best in the industry. I keep my shooting simple. I hang it, then I try to destroy it with hundreds and hundreds of rounds... Needless to say; unsuccessful. These are the best targets that money can buy (in my humble opinion of course). We continue to be impressed by the quality of the �-inch, AR500 targets. We use a bullseye silhouette at 100 yards, a bullseye gong at 150 yards, and the regular silhouette at 225 yards. The torso is the perfect size to simulate threats and then actually see the bullet's impact point. Shot with 223, 25-06 and 45 took the hits well you could hear the hits but the target doesn't move much.

I purchased 3 pieces of steel and they were all high quality for a reasonable price. I will continue to purchase more steel.

Invest in the stand . I got my own bolts nuts washers and chain. Got the right angle hanging the targets get extra long bolts and plenty of nuts and washers. 13 links of chain works fine on each end. I have 2 Ivan targets and 3 small ones on a 5 foot span. Set the stands on blocks. Enjoy your hobby.

I like shooting steel. This was good value, I got one smaller target free. I mostly shoot 308 with fmj bullets. Mark said 3/8 inch was plenty heavy enough.. I got the 1/2. My fmj's don't even scratch it. Really tuff target. In the future I'd probably save the $ and get the 3/8. I think it would handle 308's just fine. Shipping was a little slow, but not too bad. I used the postal service delivery which was the problem. If I get more steel targets I'll come back Mark and shooting targets. #Marks note USPS = Gov Workers our local USPS people are great but there are some bad ones out there and delays happen on occasion unfortunately.

This is a high quality steel target. The surface is smooth. The target is large and let's out a very satisfying ring when hit. Should last many years if shot at correct distances.

Used as 1000 yd. target for the 338 Lapua. Break the shot........... 2 seconds later hear the "tink" for positive feedback of a "hit". The Lapua hits with over 2000 ft. lbs of energy at 1000 yrds and the steel just leaves a lead splash with no indention. Perfect for long range shooting, especially without a spotter to check for hits on paper.

My most recent purchase of IPSC TORSO 1/2" along with a set of stands along with 10" and 4" gong and mounting kits. Order arrived quickly. NOTE: I really like that the targets have been bead blasted. They are much cleaner than my previous order and ready for a quick shot of paint before shooting. Set these up at a friends farm and let loose on them. 5.56 223 380 9mm. several hundred rounds that day and all we needed was spray paint and they were good as new again. Also used the magnetic stencils and they add to the competition(stencils are well worth a few bucks to add target circles) You just can't beat shooting steel and these targets and prices make it easy and fun.

I have been looking for heavy duty targets for a while now. There is a local survival/tactical shop here in Columbus that used to carry heavy duty targets, but stopped carrying them. I already had a couple of the 3/8 gongs and wanted to get one of the IPSCs. The difference in price between the 1/2 and 3/8 was pretty negligible so I went ahead and got the 1/2. Talk about a tank! Honestly guys, if you're going to just shoot pistol ammo at these things, 3/8 is plenty. I've shot my 3/8 with 308 without a scratch. These are without a doubt the best steel I've ever shot. They are so addicting though you'll probably want to take up reloading :)
