These are a perfect companion to hanging plates. They are easy to install and hold the plates at a safe angle. The carriage bolts have a hex grove to make it easier to lock them in place. Eventually, someone is going to hit the carriage bolt, and this pack is perfect for repairs too. Buy a couple extra sets, you won't be sorry.

Good quality hardware.

Money well spent instead of having to go down and piece it all together myself. The bolt took a direct hit at 100 yards from 5.56 and stayed in place. While a sizeable chunk is missing out of it, I don't see it giving up the ghost anytime soon and failing on my unless we manage to hit it a few more times. Great pack, well worth the money!

Updating my previous post, giving 5 stars. Issue was that targets was too small for chains and required rubber straps which I already ordered. Quick response in addressing my issue

I was not able to tighten the nuts all the way which left the dong hanging side ways. It could also be because they are small and don’t weight enough to keep it hanging straight

Buy these! Just trust me on this one, so much easier then going to The Home Depot and trying to piece them together yourself. Easy to assemble and it's put together in such a way to angle the target slightly back. (Top of target closer to you, bottom slightly further away) So when your shooting your target it helps to make the bullet fragments go downwards. I recommend buying a few extra kits for when you have a stray bullet that happens to catch a bolt so you can replace it quickly..... Not that that's ever happened to me ;)

These hardware packs are a good value for hanging your targets. The hardware for fastening the rubber strap or chain to the target side are great. The bolts for fastening the strap or chain must be intended for a 2x4. I had to replace the hex head bolts with a shorter bolt as I was bolting all the targets to a metal bracket welded to the metal stands on our range.

This package is what is needed to make sure your targets last longer since you will get a good angle that will reduce heat damage to your target.

Bolts used as directed help to hang steel gongs at a slight angle, which then deflects the bullet into the ground rather than deflecting it into the air. Works well. Quick shipment.

I am in the process of setting up a set of gongs. I had purchased 6, 8 and 10" gongs from a different source before discovering Shooting Targets 7. I recently purchased a 4" gong, 5 chain mounting kits, 5 carabiner snap links, 2 extra sets of hanging hardware, and the F24 folding 2x4 stand. I like the looks of Shooting Targets 7 product over the others. I wish I had bought everything from them. Today I placed another order for 2 and 3" gongs and 2 sets of 12" rubber hangers. This will give me a set-up consisting of 2, 3, 4, 6. 8 & 10" gongs on a collapsible stand. I discovered that the F24 folding stand brackets can use 3/4" metal conduit for legs. This will make the set even lighter and easier to transport. I will be assembling the set tomorrow and can't wait to do some steel shooting!

If you're wondering whether you should get this or just try to find everything at the hardware store just buy these. Everything you need in one pack for a reasonable price. At a hardware store you'll just end up paying almost the same price but spend who knows how long trying to find the right size/length/threading and likely end up buying 50 packs of something you only need a couple of.

Good value. The bolts have unique locking lugs that snug up to the plate which makes it tighten down. The bolts from the hardware store don’t have that. The price for the bag of bolts, washers, and nuts is good price here. Cheaper than buying elsewhere. You will shoot the heads off the bolts, so prepare to re-mount. Buy extra. My only problem is the bag of bolts comes with bolts that I don’t need (where it attaches to the frame for hanging). But that is okay, I just use them for something else.

Convenience at a great price !

I could probably wander through the hardware store and pick up all these parts but I would also spend more and waste some time. For the price, having it all in one bag, everything correct and ready is well worth the money spent. Shipping is also fairly priced. I love this stuff!
