I ordered the 8'' gong along with a 12'' gong for 300 yard rimfire matches. The shipping was fast and the gongs are well made. The 8'' gong does not ring as loud as the 12'' but can still be heard on the firing line. Both great products.

These 8" gongs at 25 meters for .22s approximate a standing KD target at 100. They are a heck of a lot better than paper for instant feedback. Already planning on buying more.

Nice product. Got some chain, bolts and hung from some 2x4 saw house brackets. Whole set up cost under 20 buck's. My wife and I love shooting it. Nice clang noise when hit and very rewarding. We generally use 22s however we are going to run some 9mm drills soon. With 22 it should last forever it seems.

At the price I had to try one. Arrived the day before a family gathering, Very quick shipping. Was the MOST POPULAR target at my backyard range UNTIL the chains got shot off it. (I didn't order the mounting hardware and jury rigged something quick to try it out.) Survived .22, .32, .380, 9mm, 38 special, 357 Mag, & 44 Mag without a dent from 5 Yds out to 25 Yds. It's been re-hung and is awaiting the next test.

I have purchased multiple sizes and am happy with the product. It does make the target experience more exciting than just paper. I have made paint stencils to put a "bulls eye" on them and that increases the fun. The mounting chains kit ensures the correct angle for bullet deflection. I am satisfied with the product and service.

I bought the 8" 3/16 because I own and shoot a lot of 22's. This target is holding up great and it's easy to hear the hits. Shipping was fast and cost 5 bucks. I'll buy more soon when my range is done. Thanks Mark.

This morning I reviewed the 6" x 3/16" gong which I purchased at the same time as the 8". It was great for .22 LR but my .45 ACP with 200 grain cast SWC loads flipped the target over top of the frame and twisted up the chain. This after noon I tried the 8" target, It jumps and sounds great with a .22. It will jump with the .45 but not over the top of the frame. Just right. No need to carry a heavy 3/8" target just for some bullseye practice. With a 1" white ring painted around the outside of the 8" gong I have a black bullseye of about the same size as a standard 25 yard target. I am a happy customer. Neither the .45 ACP nor the .22 LR do more than blow a little paint off the target. Another shooter hit the target a few times with 9 mm FMJ. A little copper smear but no damage to the target. The service was great - a couple of questions answered quickly before the sale. Shipping was speedy and even the USPS did not manage to break the target :-) Ken

Way underrated as far as the strength goes. We have blasted the 3/16" targets with everything from mouse fart 38 special cowboy loads to 2300 fps FMJ 300 BLK rounds. Sure, once you go 357 mag and above you start seeing some dents, but they are very, very minor and I am sure it will take 1000s of rounds to "wear out" provided you keep your shots off of the mounting "ears". And as cheap as these are... who cares?!?

Top quality, easy to set up, and great in many ways. No walking to see if you hit a paper target, extra challenge of hitting the target again while it is swinging. From the looks of them after hitting many , many times they look like they are going to last a long, long time.

Best cost, quick delivery and lots of rounds later it is still ringing. I also picked up a spray can of primer and a spray can of paint, some chain, a couple nuts and bolts and top it off with a couple carabiners and I hang it on a sawhorse. Everyone loves plinking at it. Word of warning, if you shoot at it with cheap Russian 9mm, the stuff that even the bullet is magnetic you will dent the target. Not a bad dent and not a hole through it, but you will notice it. So stay away from steel jacketed copper plated Russian ammo.

I hang this up about 115 yards across a pond from my house. I can hear the sound when I hit it and don't have to walk 5 minutes each way to change a paper target. Excellent price as well.

I put a hundred rounds of 9mm on one target. It has lead splashes over it but not a sign of any dent. I am ordering some more.

I've just starting shooting a pistol and I find the 8" gong to be a good size for shots at 50 feet. I spray painted the metal in red and bullet marks are easily seen. The design is simple and the durability is more than I believe I will need in my lifetime. I was very pleased with the prompt shipping.

Went and shot about 600 22lr at mine today and was very impressed by the loud ring and lack of pitting. Shooting suppressed and the impact was the loudest sound and put a smile on our faces every time it was struck. We tried some 9mm and it just swung more on impact. Very impressed and glad I have a couple of these targets for out rim fire fun. Much more fun than shooting paper any day.

I have ordered a nice complement of 1/2" gongs in the past. Excellent product as always! Being new to gongs targets I quickly discovered that hitting a 1/2" gong with a .22 rimfire produces very little sound and no movement. I have since duplicated my 1/2" gongs with 3/16" gongs just for rimfire shooting. They make the nice loud clank I was looking for besides also doing a little happy dance. I'd say my set is now complete but I know I will be ordering more. I have ordered from ST7 3 or 4 times now. At first I would shop around. I don't do that anymore. Gongs are now the rare one stop shopping item for me. ST7 has the best quality at the best price and shipping is super fast!

Love these targets! The 3" are a little small, but I love the 6" and 8" targets I have purchased so far. Will be buying more. Have shot 380, 9mm, 22LR all at the 8" 3/16" and have had no pits or holes. Just spray on a fresh coat of paint before every new shooting day and you are good to go. Awesome!

After a very much needed tutelage about what steel would give the best audible feedback from a .22, I bought this and it's perfect. I bought this plus two other sizes and they are a perfect. A .22 on the 1/2" steel would just kind of "splat", but the 3/16" really rings out. I have bought all my steel from ShootingTargets7.com and will continue to do so.

I'm so happy that I bought this gong from you. It works better that I thought possible. I painted it and took it to the range and found out that I can clean the paint off with a box of 100 rounds of 22 LR. I have shot about 2000 rounds at it so far.
