This target is awesome!! Incredibly durable! We beat the snot out of these things at multiple distances. The gratification hearing the target "PING!" is so absolutely wonderful. Definitely recommend this to any one! I'll be buying more and different sizes for sure. Can't beat the price on these targets either. For the money, you can't go wrong!
Holds up to light rifle rounds. Havent shot it with anything heavy yet. Makes a nice, satisfying ring when hit
Banged the gong with 5.56, 6.5Grendal, 6.5 Creedmore and 7mm Mag for hours at 350-500yrds and saw no issues.
Well worth the money ,will be buying a few more soon.
Great quality. Just what I wanted.
7.62 x 39 @100 don't dent them at all, these gongs will last for ever. Great price and fast shipping. I could not be happier.
I have purchased seven 1/2" gongs and five 1/4" gongs. I'm a high intensity online shopper, always looking for the best deal. I'm willing to pay more for quality, but quite honestly, I didn't find anything that matches SS7's prices or quality. I had an 8" from another vendor and I don't think it was AR500 hardness, so the three holes would indicate. They also had some of the other accessories I needed and the shipments get to my house in no time. The targets are the real deal, they take their lumps and keep on ringing! I don't know how many more gongs I need in my ever growing collection, but I'm resolute in buying all my future steel targets right here! Now, if he just had a shooting tree......
I have been looking for some time at getting some high quality gong targets and never could bring myself to pay the price others were charging. I was pointed to Shooting Targets by another very satisfied customer on a gun/shooting forum I frequent online. First, I was impressed by the prices. After getting the targets I ordered I was impressed with the quality. But most importantly, I was impressed with the shipping deals and service. Service is the key for me to recommend of almost any product. Shooting Targets does it right. I am sure to be a future customer and will make sure others find your company as well.
Exactly as Described. Indestructible.
The 1/2" thick AR500 targets are high quality and hold up very well, even to high powered rifle calibers. However, If you plan to only shoot pistols at these gongs, the 3/8" would be a better choice as they are not only cheaper but ring louder when hit. These heavier 1/2" targets are overkill for pistols.
Should take about anything. These are great steel targets. I got the 12, the 10, and got a free smaller one with it. We are using these at our hunting club rifle range. thanks
I bought this target and they threw in a 3" 1/2" gong for free. Perfect size from 20yds to learn your hand gun. I know why they included the 3". Cause now I'm going to have to get a 6" to fill in the gap :) Very nice target. Was zeroing in my .243 on paper from 50yds. I shot the 12" gong at 50yds. It did flake off a thin layer of metal, not much though. We then shot at it and the 3" target from 100yds for several hours. AKs, 708, 243,AR15 without a scratch. Very nice precision cut and quality gong. Will definitely recommend!
will continue to buy these targets, excellent products!
I purchased this target because I was looking for something to shoot rifles at, normal 1/2 inch plate steal just wasn't getting it done. I bought the target and hung it then my old man walks not 15 yards form it and shoots it with his 308. I thought for sure there would be a good size dent in it, Nope hardly even a mark it looked like a BB gun mark. Wow we all were impressed and ever since I have been telling people what kind a target it is and where I bought it. Thanks for the great service and targets. WORTH THE BUY!!
What can I say, great value, a ton of fun, if you have never shot steel, you don't know what you are missing. Hit it with a mix of different things for 25yds out to 250yds. 9mm, 40 and 38 up close. The dreaded 62 grain green tip 5.56 ( not armor piercing by any means), 7.62x39, 7.62x54r. Held up great. It is very enjoyable to sit out past 200 and have the ping of the steel let you know you hit the target. No having to go up and check the paper. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have an instant notification that you hit the target. Looking forward to getting it out some more. Thanks again.
The plate is very well made. The cuts are clean and the edges are dressed so there are is nothing to snag or cut. I've only used this plate at the 200 line with a 30-06 and .308 Win rifles and it is holding up very well. I've looked at a couple of other brands and ShootingTargets7 definitely gives you the best value. I'll definitely be ordering some more plates this spring and if you're thinking of buying steel plates I highly recommend the ones from ShootingTargets7.
Delta tactical sports
These are great targets. Good company to work with. Will buy more.
I only have about 200 rounds at this thing and it has been great with no damage. I have shot 9mm, 556, and 30-06 at it. The best feature is not having to go out and replace paper and cardboard. If you aren't shooting steal yet what are you waiting for? The price and quality can't be beat.
Great product. I also bought the target stands which are also well made. No regrets. Steel targets have opened up a new venue for myself and shooting partners. May have to get another smaller plate for more challenge.
Excellent quality! Hit at 50 meters with my AR and not the slightest dent!!!!
Nice target, great price, fast shipping. I will buy more.
A hoot to shoot. No doubt when yo hit them. Fun.
This 12" round 1/2" thick AR500 target was well worth the investment and I am very satisfied with the quality and timely shipping. This steel target shrugged of both 182gr 7.62x54R FMJ's as well as 55gr .223's at just over 100 yards. Easy enough to transport, hang and maintain and one can hear the bullet smack the steel target even with quality ear plugs in. Love this steel gong and would like to purchase some 3/8" silhouette steel targets ASAP.
absolutly one of the best targets we have shot.
great steel targets that i will be buying more of soon. 3 stars for shipping since the first package was missing items. however, ST7 made amends and quickly sent out the missing targets again. excellent customer service!
good product, having fun shooting it up.
I love this target. Epecially since I used the magnetic stencil to put a target face on it.
This gong held up great with over 200 rounds of .223 so far. I definitely recommend buying the mounting kit with it because it makes the set up much easier.
I am very happy with this product. My daughter and I used these for the first time last weekend just a few days after receiving. Shot with three different rifles approx. 300 rounds +, not a blemish on any of the four different targets we used that day. We used a light color grey paint, and at 100 yds. it was very visible at where the bullet struck the target. We are please and I am considering purchasing a couple 3/16 thick targets for smaller caliber. We had only one issue with all the rounds we fired, and that was when my daughter hit the bolt dead center holding the target and blew it out. We simple replaced the bolt and continued firing. I am especially pleased with the way the target reflexג€™s the round down, very safe, and I have no concerns with any of my five children firing rounds at these targets. JJF
Use this gong to tune up for annual elk hunt. Box upon box of 300 WM later, gong is nearly untouched. We set it out at 300 yards and make sure every gun in camp will ring it three shots in a row. Hammered an elk this year on opening morning at, guess what, 300 yards. Scope was still doped from shooting the gong. Everyone loves this thing.
These are far best targets ever! They handle 308 handload and my gnarly 416 remington magnums. Don't wait! Order them!
I shopped around and this was a great price and shipped really fast. Received item quickly and is as described. I bought the recommended hardware and glad I did.
I really love the instant feedback you get when shooting a steel target. I am a stickler when it comes to shipping and ST7 shipped my target quick. For me the 12" gong is good to about 200 yards and anything above that, the target becomes a little difficult for me to see with iron sites. Shooting with a scope shouldn't be a problem. The target did not have any sharp edges, easy to mount, a little heavy but it works perfectly with my home-brew stand. Making it sing at the range with the old war guns doesn't appear to damage the steel whatsoever and is a blast to shoot all day long. Great value for the price. If you are on the fence about this target, don't be, you won't be disappointed.
Living in the perpetual damp and blustery Pacific Northwest it is refreshing to obtain a complete outdoor targeting system that can with stand wind, rain and other inclement weather conditions that play havoc on paper targets. No more wasted dollars on paper. I have purchased all 1/2" AR500 from ShootingTargets7 as well as two stands that I have set up for short range pistol targeting as well as long range rifle practice. I especially like the Bullseye targets and have three along with three various size gongs in 1/2". The safety factor of these targets was one of the main reasons that I Made the investment in the ShootingTagets7 system. Shipping was phenomenal as well as packaging. Great company to do business with.
Bar none, best product at the best price I've been able to find. Will be a repeat customer for certain. As long as you pay attention to the rules on using them and cartridge at distance these are the best out there. Great mounting hardware too.
I like this target because it gives the shooter instant feedback (and a rewarding ding) when hit. At distances longer than pistol range this is important to me. Otherwise I have to shoot a few times and then walk up on the target to know how I did. This would give me a little exercise at 100 yards, but be a real bother at 4 or 500 yards. It's much cheaper than a spotting scope. My son and I had a great time with it while he was home for Christmas. The 12" target is good for offhand shooting at 100 yards with aperture sights. The 8" is a challenge for my older eyes and less steady hands. I will make a trailer to mount the targets so I can store it away and get it out easily.
We have bought many steel targets. These are by far the best priced and the targets are great. We always spray paint a bright color on them before each target shooting. The do not dent and make a great sound.
I searched all over internet & this was the best price. I received item & was EXTREMELY happy. Quick shipping too
I absolutely love this target. Took it out with a group of friends and shot everything from .22 to rifled 12ga slug and 308 and it is still in great shape. It was the highlight of the day and everyone was very happy to have such a fun target to hit rather than the usual paper. I highly recommend it and will probably get a few more
I hung my 12" x1/2" plate from a makeshift stand made of an old wood palet. So far ive only shot it with pistol rounds, but after about 400 rounds total of 9mm, 45acp, and 357 mag,(all fmj) there are no signs of any kind of wear or fatigue. Even where a few bullets hit the edge of the plate, the only effect is some lead stuck to the edge. The ring of the plate is easily heard with muffs on. The only downside to shooting steel is the lead and copper jacket splatter coming off the bottom of the plate will dig a nice little trench in your yard.
should last forever
Nothing to complain about. Free shipping. GREAT price. Have a BUNCH of local shops that sell plates, but none are near as good as Shooting Targets 7!
Shot it at 100yards with everything from .30-06 to 5.56 and it held up without any noticeable dents. It's a little on the heavy side to be dragging around so I'd recommend going with a 10" 3/8 target.
I have been shooting for decades and seams like everything that I shoot at sooner or later needs to be welded up from all the blasting I do to it. I purchased the 1/2 inch thick 12 in around target and I shoot it a lot and it only blows the paint off and does what it says it will do. it deflects the bullets downward and not back at me. I have been hit several times from lead and copper jackets coming back at me and my son shot a target with a 45 pistol and the copper jacket came back and imbedded itself into his middle finger and we had to have it removed buy a hand surgeon. and he was off work for 6 weeks. these targets and the way that they are hung are really a good safety factor target as well. good luck and keep shooting
I purchased 1/2" thick 12" and 8" Gongs and got the 4" free. I used rebar as the target stand - initially with blocks of old 4x4 fence posts with holes drilled to make the joints for the rebar - but will upgrade to something heavier. I am using 5/16" quick links to connect the chains to the rebar. My SIL and I threw at least 200 rounds of .223 at these targets from distances ranging from 25 to 70 yards and probably 400 rounds of 9mm mostly from 20 to 25 yards. While there is some minor pitting (a few shallow surface marks from the closer 223) - I expect these target will hold up for many thousands of rounds - and then can turn the hardware around and use em for at least another few thousand. We did manage to destroy a couple of the bolts and a couple of the chain links as we were dialing in our sights. I replaced the bolts with parts readily available at the local hardware store. I may need to order the chain repair kit - or might use quick links - or just shorten the other side to match. A square hole in for the carriage bolt would help a little - though once you get the split washer doing its job they are very easy to assemble - not so easy to disassemble if you damage the bolts and I had to cut a couple of them off. Perhaps I didn't have the best target stand - but the 4" target was hanging in a way that left the back of the bolts exposed to the incoming rounds - you want some angle of course so the splatter doesn't come back at you - but too much and the links/bolts will only take a couple if hits before they fail. I recommend keeping the spray paint handy - after about 10 or 15 rounds it becomes hard to tell where your hits are - though the gong certainly lets you know that you got a hit. I also recommend taking your wrenches with you and retightening the nuts after the first few dozen rounds - perhaps I could have gotten them tighter to begin with - but most of them were a tad loose at the end of the day. Not sure what to order next - more Gongs - or a Bullseye - or a Torso. If I had my own permanent range I would likely order at least one of everything. I would recommend these to anyone and will buy more in the future.
This target is nicely priced and works great. The gallery on the website regarding how to hang, etc, was very informative Some were cleaner than others but all I needed to do with the target was to clean then up a bit with sanding and then some painting.
M855 @ 50 & 100 yds. Won't shoot em up in my lifetime. Marks note: It's likely this is pitting the targets we don't recommend shooting M855 (green tip) at any distance. Some folks are OK with the pitting, some are not. Thanks for your review.
Been looking for a larger gong and came across these at a great price. Already shot the hell out of it up to .308 and not a scratch on them. Only thing I'd change is to make the holes slightly larger. I plan to buy more targets from this vendor.
Great target for shooting old iron sighted rifles at.we were sending .308, 7mm,8mm and 7.62x54r non a.p. rounds not a scratch
Steel Core 7.62x54R with no issue out of my M44 at 100 yards. This 12" x1/2" AR 500 Target is the real deal and is loud as heck when struck. K98 Mauser 8MM, 1903A3 30.06 M2 Ball, 7.7x58 Type 99 Arisaka in all was fired at the target in one range session. about 150 rounds in total. Would highly recommend these targets to everyone. A +.
I have purchased the 6" and 12" gongs from Shooting Targets7. I use the 6" gong with my AR-15. The 12" gong is used for .308 and 7.62x54R. I have them mounted so they swing freely from steel saw horses that I bought from Lowes. They are mounted with chains and D-bolts. With my set up, the larger calibers are just too much for the 6" gong, but the 12' takes the hit with out any trouble. Don't worry about doing any kind of precision paint job. It will just get knocked off on the first trip to the range. We use neon orange spray paint and it works just fine. Without it, you can't see the target very well at 100 yards.
These are just what I wanted and the price is right. i expected the .308 to do some damage, but at 120 yds, there is just the slightest mark in the steel. These should last a long time. I ordered the complete setup and am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.
Excellent target. It seems to withstand anything you shoot it with. A great target at a fair price with a lifetime warranty. What else could you ask for?
My shooting buddy and I have had fun shooting at your Gong. My wife saw the Gongs when they came in and said, "You are not going to shoot those up, they are too nice for that" I had to explain that the bullets would not hurt them. Which they did not, just mark the paint. I also got the 16" Gong and the free 4". All are fun and great for instant feedback of hit or miss. The chain hanging kits are great also. Just hook them up and you are ready. One other things is the E-Book is great reading and answers alot of questions and things I would not have thought about. So bottom line, Mark you have a great product. Thanks, Bigiron
Bought 5 different sizes of gongs, all the 1/2" thick, but have only shot at the 12" size so far. 200 yards with a .308. It was fun hearing the bullet hit the target and you could plainly see where you hit it. All it did was knock a little white paint off the gong and there was no dimple in the metal at all. Was still as smooth as when I hung it up. I mounted the gong like they suggested, with a slight down and back 20% angle so the gong doesn't take the full force of energy from the bullet. At this rate, they'll probably last me for the rest of my life! Thanks for a quality product. I'll look forward to target practice with pistols and other rifles at different distances, it'll be fun. Even though you don't necessarily need the 1/2" for smaller calibers, why not get the best ones so they'll last?
Bought the 12 in and 6 in. Very well made.
I received my targets and the quality and cut seem good. Can't wait to hear the sweet sound of Hits on target!
I bought one of these 1/2" - 12" gong plates and built my own stand out of 1/2" dia pipe. We took it out and were shooting .308's at 550 yards. Scratched all of the paint off but very little damage was done. A little spawling around the edge, but not a big deal. Highly recommend these for having fun! Cheers
I am thrilled with this gong. I went a little bit thicker than I needed to (3/8 probably would have been fine) and this gong is soaking it up like a champ. The quality is outstanding and I expect it to last for years to come, short of someone bringing a tank to the range. The shipping was very quick and the tracking kept me informed. It hangs easily and the mounting kit is very sturdy. It will probably outlive me.
Absolutely amazing target. Superb quality. I'd buy again without thinking twice. I've shot these targets at 60-70 yards (they recommend a minimum of 100 yards) and aside from the bullet transferring copper to the plate you'd never know. Materials are great craftsmanship is great order was promptly delivered. This company will have my business from now on.
this is my first gong i have ever bought but i must say i really like the look of it. nicely laser cut with very smooth edges and i can't wait to build a stand out of some scrap tube i have and get to shooting at it. i got a great deal on a sale that was going on and shipping was very reasonable too. very happy with my purchase so far and no regrets!
I will break this review into 3 parts; the seller, the product, and then what I learned . The seller: Honest, reliable, and kind. I sent at least 27 emails and called a dozen times. He answered every email and took every call without any delay. Super friendly every time I contacted him. That was before I even bought a plate. The items were shipped the next day. The product: I can't compare it to any other steel since this is the first I shot at steal of my own but I can say this, not a dent or ding in the plate. Within the first week I put over 3000 rounds between 5 plates and they are still smooth. I shot 22 to 44 mag. These plates were the 1/2. I picked that thickness because I plan on shooting rifles at them. No sense of getting anything with a less thickness.Pay the extra money and get the thicker plates just in case you want to shoot rifles or any large caliber. Overall, I learned a great deal after 1 week of use. For pistols, I like the 8" for 15 yards 10s and 12s for quick shooting beyond 15 yards. I put a 12", 6", and a 4" at 40 yards to see if I was any accurate. For the rifle, I am going to set up my range with 10" for quick shots, and 10s, 12s, and 6s for the100 yards. Basically the same range set up for pistol but for the rifle I will start a couple inches bigger. To each is their own when it comes to the set up. I say fo sure buy more than 2! Also, I used Shepard Hooks to mount my plates. They work great. The 10s and up need 2 to hold them.
Tons of fun to shoot, sturdy sturdy
Holds up well and makes noise when you hit it. No less can be expected from amhunk of 1/2" steel. The magnetic templet is great for resetting the target during shoots. The chains included carriage bolt fasteners, as they should...nice attention to detail there.
I purchased 1/2 x 12 and 1/2 x8 targets along with the mounting hardware and templates which I highly recommend. Have these on a 100+ yard range and have used with 22 to 308. Just needs a new paint job! These are a lot of fun and I recommend them and go with the 1/2" thick for whatever you want to shoot with. Shipping was fast and free for $100 order. A++
Any larger, and they get HEAVY!!! This gong can take it all! I am using for handguns, 12", 10", 8", 6", and the 4" (free with my order!!)...HOWEVER....will take on any caliber at the proper distance! Plan on buying one more gong (16") for 100 yards plus. Best system out there, bought with the stand and support chains, using my own 2x4.....buy it once, will last you a lifetime! Highly, highly recommend; customer service is unparalleled!
Actually, the 12" isn't but wanted to add another dimension to the shooting routine. Now I've got 2ea 16" and one 12". The idea is to use this one at closer distances in my run & gun course set-ups. Whatever your intended use be certain that this target is up to the challenge! Also be sure to mount them as Mark says to avoid ricochet issues. The mounting bolts and chain are a must to ensure safe shooting. You can't get a better product and have it shipped properly like ShootingTargets7 does! Thanks Mark
I found this target to be of excellent quality. Thank you.
I found this target to be of excellent quality. Thank you.
love my 1/2"x12" AR-500 gong i shoot mine out in the desert around las vegas i start by painting mine with white primer then green neon the white helps the green pop then i bought a pack of magnet sheets i think from Avery they come letter size so you can run them through the printer print out your best target pattern or cross hair pattern then cut it out with a razor blade stick it on the green gong and paint it neon orange pull off the magnet sheet and keep it for next time makes a cool highly visible gong
Shipped quick, I received them within 5 days at the holidays. very pleased with the quality.
Love these steel targets , the quality price and shipping simply cannot be beat. I plan on ordering more of these targets for my range . Once you shoot steel you will never go back to paper targets again. Thanks , Mark Phillippie
This is my first steel gong and love ringing it with my 300 Win Mag at 300 + yards. The gong was lost during shipping and a new one was sent with no hassle. I will be purchasing another size in the future.
I bought a couple of 12" gongs as well as a silouette and big game kill zone in 1/2" and the stand. They are incredibly fun to shoot and have changed my range time from a little boring to a lot more interactive. I have a number of kids that never wanted to accompany me to the range but since I got these targets they all want to go now. The instant feedback the targets provides is wonderful as they keep my kids wanting more. My wife has even gone once. We shoot 22s more than anything but I have shot a bunch of 556, 308 and 30-06 at them and I can't find a permanent mark. The stand is as easy as demonstrated and I highly recommend it. It feels sturdy but I find that it does bend easier than I would like but it is sturdy enough to hold the targets and easy enough for my kids to setup. The additional 8" target was a great surprise as well!
These things are addictive. I initially purchased a few gongs to try out. My first weekend of shooting was so fun that I ordered a dozen more. I have them set up at different ranges for precision rifle shooting. I can't explain how satisfying it is hear the report back from a hit! Not only that if you spray paint the gong before shooting you can easily see your hits. You know how each shot turned out without having to drive out and look a target. This is the only way to learn shooting in wind! Currently, my furthest gong is setup at 630 yards. I can easily see and hear hits through my 25x scope. I am very pleased with the quality of these gongs. Nice edges, no pitting or denting and very reasonably priced. I'm also really amazed how fast I received them. I thought heavy steel would take forever but it was only a couple of days. I've bought gongs ranging from 3" up to 12", one bullseye 10" and one bullseye silhouette. The bullseye targets add extra fun. Next on my list is a 24" for 1000 yards. Can't wait. Thank you ShootingTargets7!
Target is very good! I will have many years enjoyment shooting this target.
Well constructed, great price and fast delivery. I will do business with the again!
Expensive but a once in your life purchase. Will last your lifetime. .45 cal. makes a nice ring sound! 7.62 x 39 (AK47 round) only makes surface marks on it. Hang by chains to allow for swing motion. This site sells a nice chain / bolt mounting system that works great! Could have saved money if I had bought this first instead of wasting money on cheaper targets that did not hold up in the long run!
Perfect! I transitioned my kids from paper targets to steel ! Wow. Excellent quality, durable, and easy to use. Don't hesitate to but this!
These are the best investment i have made. Shooting steel is a lot of fun and i have probably shot 500 plus rounds the target shows no sign of use.
These were my first steel targets and I'm sure they last a lifetime. I have shot every firearm I own at them and they are just as clean as the day they arrived.
Indestructible, bought 3 targets initially after trying, bought three more
This sucker stops .308, 5.56mm (SS109) cold. Nice ring with each hit.
First off let me start by saying that the entire experience was awesome. Ordering, shipping/receiving, and shooting. Wish all my internet transactions were like this. All the targets I ordered were AR500 1/2 inch steel. I got the 10" Bulls-eye, the 12" Gong, Target Stand, and they gave me a 4" target for free. I also ordered two ג€Mounting Kitsג€, for the 12" and 4" targets, as the 10" Bulls-eye comes with the chains already installed. I mounted all three targets to a 5 foot long 2x4. I could have gone as short as 4 foot but I like having some space between the ג€Target Standsג€ and the targets. Just in case anyone else needs to know, I started with the center point on the board and measured out 6" left and right giving me 12" for each target's chains to mount to. I then spaced the next starting point 4" inches from there to the left and right for another 12ג€ for the two remaining targets. This gave me even spacing and I could mount the three targets in any order with the same amount of spacing. I change the height by using the different links on the chain. I also used eye bolts on the 2x4 and quick clips to make it faster to hang the targets. The ג€ג€Targets Standsג€ are well worth the money as it only takes a minute to secure the 2x4 to the stand with the wing nuts and to spread the legs of the stands out as wide as they can go. I have about 6ג€ of the 2x4 hang over at the point of where the stands attach. I feel this is a good length for support. I thought about building my own stands but these are so easy to use and fold (scissor) together so I only have the two stands and the 5 foot 2x4 that fit in the back of the truck with no problem. The targets with their chains go in a plastic tub with a lid along with my knock down stands and targets and my clay target stands. Remember to use the chains to hold or move the targets to keep from getting metal splinters or shavings and to keep the exposure to the lead residue at a minimum. Another reminder is that there will be metal shards/fragments from the bullet impacts on the steel targets in the 2x4 so pay attention when you disassemble the stands and move all the pieces back to your vehicle. My wife was worried when she saw the items I ordered and about how much space it would take up in the garage but she was happy when she saw the three pieces (target stands and 2x4) leaned up against the wall with the plastic tub next to it. Our whole family shoots and we love the instant report that steel provides. Only problem with shooting steel is, it eats up a lot of ammo. We have shot pistols and revolvers with 380, 9mm, 45LC, 45ACP, 410 Buck Shot, 38 Spcl, and 357 Mag at a minimum distance of 10 yards out to 25 yards then 223/556 at minimum of 50 yards out to 100. When Iג€™m done I wire brush the plates and hit them with a little silicone spray. I know you can also paint them if you wanted to. I know this review is a little lengthy but I am trying to provide as much information as I can to anyone who may need it. We absolutely love the steel targets and would recommend to anyone.
Excellent product. Sprayed a coat of paint on it and put it to work. Lots of fun with .308 and .45ACP. Makes plenty of noise even with good hearing protection.
I bought this 12in round for pistol practice and it has helped me phenomenally. The instant feedback is so satisfying. If you are on the fence (like I was) take it from me when I say that YOU WONT REGRET IT.
Shooting 190gr Berger Hunting VLD . 12" 1/2" 500AR target gongs showed little damage at the 200 yard distance. Nicked the edge of one at 800 yards and only took a little nick out of it. Very nice gongs. Looks like years of use. Thanks
Shot this gong today at 400 yards and could hear it with muffs on and see it move. Hit it with a 300 Win Mag and no marks at all on steel, just paint knocked off at impact spot.Great product and fun to shoot
This is my second order for AR500 Gongs from Shooting Targets7. I am using these 12" gongs on my 300-400-500 yard rifle range. I really like them a lot. It is really cool to shoot, watch the target move and then hear the splat of the bullet on the gong. Very happy with these for rifle and pistol.

This is my second purchase.Even though I have purchased from shooting targets 7 before,I shopped around for the best price, and found out that They still had the best deal. Not only did you have the best deal, They threw in another free target. Wow you just cant beat there deals! the quality of the targets are first rate.shipping was fast and easy.I have never written a review before, but I thought this company, and there products were worth writing about. I highly recommend these targets! I have been telling all my buddies.
I purchased this Target long range rifle shooting, Fantastic target. Light coat of paint and a central dot is all you need. Hangs perfecly'
I have 15 or so of these targets. The quality is first rate. The price is first rate. The fun is off the charts. Shooting reactive targets is so much more fun than paper. Everyone gets into the action when they get to hear their hits.
These are good quality ballistic steel targets, at the best price I have seen. I purchased 1 in each size. Shipping was about 4 days. I have used other inferior steel targets that deformed and pitted easily. These have held up well to the over 1000 rounds on them so far, from a variety of rifle and handgun rounds, up to 30 06. If you haven't shot steel, it is much more satisfying that paper. Very pleased with the purchase.
Shop with confidence at company: 1- Top Quality: I used their 1/2" steel targets of different sizes exclusively. Never disappointed 2- Top Service: it is a trusted company, deliver as promised, no mistakes so far. 3- Price: cannot beat their prices, specially during sales and the free targets with almost every purchase. I never paid for shipping or delivery. I highly recommend Shootng Target 7 and their products.
Takes all the punishment I can shoot at it...refresh the target with some inexpensive spray paint and it's ready for more abuse!
Couldn't ask for a better target, price, or better service. Top notch company. Thank you all!
I haven't used these yet but the purchase was very easy, hassle free, and I received them faster than expected. I plan to take these out soon, and use them for my P-308, and MPA 338 Lapua. I expect that they will perform flawlessly and would recommend this company to all that I know who shoot.
Takes all the abuse I can shoot at this target... The use inexpensive spray paint and it's ready for more abuse!
I have the 12" 1/2" gongs at 100 and 200 yds. We have only used .223 so far, so I can't say for .338 LM or .50 BMG. You can hear the hits and they swing nicely even with just .223. .223 doesn't faze the the plate itself.
